A man is dead and 2 other people were hospitalized after a 2-car crash in Dover Saturday afternoon.

A Honda Accord was eastbound on Dyke Branch Road near Wheel of Fortune Road at around 3:30 p.m., and a Volvo S40 was westbound on Dyke Branch Road at the same location, Delaware State Police said.

The Honda veered into the westbound lane while rounding a curve, and the Volvo's driver swerved into the eastbound lane, only to collide head-on with the Honda when its driver swerved back into the eastbound lane.

The Honda driver, a 70-year-old Dover man, wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene--police are withholding his name pending notification of his family.
