Three Leicestershire venues had the lowest food hygiene scores possible in the latest ratings. Two venues in the city - a cash and carry and a vegetarian restaurant - and a takeaway in Melton all scored "0" meaning "urgent improvement" is necessary.
The new data for the past month compiled by LeicestershireLive shows all the businesses that scored either a "0", a "1" - which means major improvement is needed - or "2" - which means improvement is necessary. In all, a total of 12 eateries had low scores this month.
Five further venues in Leicestershire scored the second lowest rating of "1", including three restaurant/takeaways and an off licence in the city. A care home in Loughborough also scored requires major improvement in the latest ratings.
