Seven men, mostly from the West Midlands, have been jailed for a combined sentence of more than 90 years for a daring attempt to smuggle a huge amount of cocaine into the UK on a dinghy.

Officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) investigated and disrupted the criminal activities of Stephen Lawlor, Daniel Bowen, Stephen Lock, Reiss Stanley, Kieran Farrell, Sean Feenan and Thomas Walker, resulting in the group being sentenced at Winchester Crown Court last Friday (12/9).

The gang received a combined sentence of over 92 years imprisonment, after last year attempting to smuggle cocaine with a street value of £44-64 million from a container ship in the English Channel using a 13-metre rigid hulled inflatable boat (RHIB).
