Fall officially begins Monday, Sept. 22, bringing with it a host of seasonal traditions for Emporia and the surrounding area. From pumpkin patches to cultural festivals, here are five fall activities you won’t want to miss.
The Orchard

Located just north of Emporia on Highway 99, The Orchard offers more than apple picking. Visitors can play miniature golf, take a hayrack ride and even feed the fish in the pond. The Orchard is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
