MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One motorcyclist is dead after an early Sunday morning hit-and-run crash police say happened on I-240 just west of Getwell Road.

Memphis police say around 2:30 a.m. a silver Chrysler 300, driven by an unknown man, was going westbound on the on-ramp from Getwell Road to get onto the interstate when the front of the car hit the back tire of a black 2015 Harley Davidson, driven by the victim.

The person on the motorcycle died on the scene, according to police.

This is ongoing police investigation.
