The Cleveland Browns held a moment of silence at Huntington Bank Field for Charlie Kirk before kick-off against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 21.

It took place just moments before the National Anthem was performed.

Kirk was a conservative influencer and the founder of Turning Point USA , which has chapters at Kent State University and the University of Akron . He died after being shot in the neck during an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, President Donald Trump announced.

Several National Football League teams have honored Kirk since his passing.

A public memorial service for Kirk in Glendale, Arizona at State Farm Stadium home of the Arizona Cardinals is being held on Sunday.
