NEW MILFORD, Conn — New Milford police said they arrested an assistant football coach Sunday for pushing a seven-year-old player to the ground.

Daniel Fazio, 38, of New Milford, is facing charges of breach of peace in the second degree, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury to a child.

Police stated that the incident occurred during a game between the New Milford Bulls and the Water-Oak Youth Football Team at New Milford High School.

Fazio was an assistant coach for the New Milford Bulls team for kids in the seven-year-old age group. He allegedly pushed a player from the Water-Oak team to the ground after a play on the field.

No injuries were reported.
