It's been a busy week for the neighbourhood police team that covers Coventry city centre and parts of the surrounding areas. St Michael’s Priority Crime have made a flurry of arrests for serious crimes in the past seven days, including robbery, rape, and drug dealing to name a few.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: "Coventry’s St Michael’s Priority Crime team have been making strides in reducing the number of offenders on our streets.

"Last week alone, the team arrested 16 people over various offences, including individuals wanted on suspicion of robbery, burglary, and possession with intent to supply. We have Priority Crime teams across the force in each of our local policing areas, which includes three just for Coventry .
