DAYYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- Sidney City Schools will be closed Monday, Sept. 22 after report of a threat.

The schools are closed after report of the potential threat, which was identified after a consultation with law enforcement.

"The district is working closely with authorities to investigate the situation thoroughly and ensure the safety of students and staff," the district said in an announcement on its homepage.

UVCC students can report to UVCC as planned the district said.

With the closures, the district will not provide transportation. Absences will be excused, but students should call UVCC ahead of time.

Lehman Catholic High School will be closed on Monday as well due to no transportation available from the district.
