State Sen. Terrell McKinney is calling on the Nebraska Judiciary Committee to hold an interim hearing to discuss the proposed McCook ICE detention facility . Sen. McKinney of Omaha sent a letter to Nebraska Judiciary Committee Chairwoman Sen. Carolyn Bosn of Lincoln on Friday.

Last week, the Urban Affairs Committee held an interim hearing for LR148 to examine potential building code issues related to the proposed changes at the WEC, more specifically the plan to expand the facility with a capacity of 125 beds into a 300-bed facility.
