The Battle Creek Symphony is set to kick off its 2025-26 season with a spooky twist.

The symphony's "Spooky Symphony" concert is scheduled for Oct. 11, according to a community announcement. Tickets start at $6 for students and $12 for adults.

The concert will feature a lineup of classical music's scariest hits, including "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celeste" (as featured in "The Shining"), "Ritual Fire Dance" from "El Amor Brujo," Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1, "Night on Bald Mountain," the theme from "Psycho," "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Danse Macabre."

Theremin performance, costume parade planned
