A breach of customer data has prompted a "comprehensive investigation" at Stellantis, the automaker said on Sunday, Sept. 17.
The international automaker that owns companies like Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Fiat, said it detected unauthorized access to a third-party platform that housed North American customer data. The third-party platform that was breached, the company said, "supports our North American customer service operations."
According to Stellantis, the personal information involved in the breach was basic contact information. The brand said the platform affected by the data breach did not store "financial or sensitive personal information, and none was accessed." How safe is your car?
