The Eagle Street, downtown St. Paul's newest sports bar, opened last week just across the road from the former Eagle Street Grille, to which the new establishment pays tribute.

The new restaurant in the former Apostle Supper Club space is co-owned by Jim Flaherty and former Eagle Street Grille owner Joe Kasel. The duo also owns Pauly's Pub and Grill

The Eagle Street Grille, which operated for 20 years, closed with the expiration of the restaurant's lease in April 2023.

"After it closed its doors in 2023, the spirit of that institution lingered, and with it, the idea that a new chapter for that legacy was waiting to be written," the website shares, adding the new restaurant is committed to continuing a tradition of "great food, lively energy, and genuine hospitality."
