A new charge accuses a Twin Cities mother of driving drunk Saturday, causing a horrific rollover crash that killed the youngest of her three children when her SUV landed upside down in a swampy pond.

Rachale Franchine Peloquin, 28, of St. Paul is charged in Ramsey County District Court with one count of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with the Maplewood crash, which happened on eastbound Highway 36 near the exit ramp to southbound Highway 61 just before 6:30 p.m.

Peloquin's 1-year-old son, Revon Melvin Anthony Todd, was extricated from underneath the submerged vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Her two other sons, ages 5 and 6, were taken to Regions Hospital, along with Peloquin and one adult passenger, a 32-year-old Mounds View
