HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Good Monday evening everyone and welcome to the fall season. Fall officially began at 1:19 PM CDT this afternoon. While it felt nothing like autumn today, some changes on the way will having it feel more like fall tomorrow. However, the colorful leaf season kicks off with the risk of severe storms this evening into the overnight hours. Severe storms will be possible nearly anywhere across the area. But the best chance will be over Eastern Nebraska, near and east of Highway 81. Large hail will be the main threat, with a small chance of an isolated tornado. Significantly larger hail over two inches is possible for areas near and east of York. Damaging wind gusts will also be possible. More scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue into early Tuesday morning. I
