DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. —

A Lincoln man accused of child enticement and resisting arrest will make his first appearance in Douglas County court Tuesday.

According to a criminal complaint, Eric McGregor, 46, is charged with child enticement using an electronic communication device, attempted first-degree assault on an officer and use of a deadly weapon, that is not a firearm, to commit a felony.

A criminal affidavit alleges that between Aug. 31, 2025, and Sept. 11, 202,5 McGregor contacted a Nebraska State Patrol investigator, under the name "James Turco", as the officer was conducting online enticement investigations.

Court documents state that McGregor "transmitted lewd, lascivious, and obscene language" with the NSP investigator, who was posing as a 13-year-old girl from Omaha, for the
