SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Council members approved a contract for more than $96,000 for McGill Restoration to fix pieces of the Sergeant Floyd Monument.

The work will include joint and crack repairs, fixes to the stone, and power washing.

The sandstone monument was first dedicated back in 1901, and the last time that this kind of work was done to the structure was back in 1997.
