At least three customer service representatives have filed a lawsuit against Ameren, alleging that the St. Louis-based electric utility willfully and intentionally didn't pay them for overtime and “off-the-clock” work they did.

The case filed Friday in St. Louis names three plaintiffs — Danielle Orchard, Kendra Owens and Doris Rowan — and is also brought on behalf of unnamed, “similarly situated coworkers,” whom it aims to invite to join the lawsuit.

The lawsuit does not specify the amount of unpaid overtime compensation and other payment that it aims to recover for the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs named in the case all worked as customer service representatives and were paid hourly.
