BERKELEY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Berkeley mother who is seven and a half months pregnant is now homeless after a tree fell onto the home she was renting Sunday night.

Dorian Merriweather says she was just 30 minutes into her night shift when she got a call.

“My mom came home with my kids and she said, ‘I think you may need to get home, there’s a tree in your house.’”

The tree crashed into the laundry room, kitchen, bathroom, and her children’s bedroom.

“And this is the outcome, I have no house… Home is gone.”

Merriweather says she and her two children — ages 2 and 8 — lost nearly everything.

“Now, we have nothing. I’m still wearing the same clothes I wore to work yesterday, my daughter has one set of school uniforms, my other daughter came out, she doesn’t have anything.”
