LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Health officials worldwide are dismissing President Donald Trump’s claims that pregnant women should restrict their use of Tylenol, also known as acetaminophen, due to unfounded claims linking it to autism .

In Laredo, former health authority and Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino told KGNS that he has helped deliver over 10,000 babies, and attributes the causes of autism to several factors, including genetics.

Although Trevino believes everyone is entitled to their own opinion, he urges the community to listen to their doctor regarding Trump’s claim about a link between acetaminophen and autism.
