MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Agents with the West Tennessee Drug Task Force seized fentanyl, a handgun, and over $11,000 from a convicted felon on Tuesday.

Early Tuesday morning, agents from the 30th Judicial District in Memphis served a search warrant at a Whitehaven residence.

Agents said during the search, they seized more than two-thirds of a pound of fentanyl in powder and pills, a loaded handgun, $11,780 in cash, and two vehicles.

They said one previously convicted felon was arrested and is being charged with multiple counts of delivery/sale of a schedule II drug and possession of schedule II drugs with intent to sell.

The Shelby County District Attorney's Office is prosecuting the case, and agents were assisted by the Germantown Police Department’s tactical team.
