ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A developer has started work on a new food hall in downtown St. Louis, a concept that includes several food and beverage options at a building along Washington Ave.

Alex Oliver, who owns eight downtown buildings through Oliver Properties, has invested heavily in residential projects in the area, including Bogden Lofts and Six Cord along Washington.

At all of his properties, he has stressed the importance of community amenities, and at the groundbreaking of his food hall on Tuesday, he remarked that residents also want nearby restaurants, retail, and gathering spaces.

“This will be an exciting place with a lot of creativity and connection,” Oliver said.
