DULUTH — Despite making it close in the first set, the Bemidji State volleyball team couldn't overcome the mighty Bulldogs.
Bemidji State fell to No. 16 Minnesota Duluth 25-21, 25-12 and 25-17 on the road Tuesday.
Lily Riese had 10 kills, a team high. Ava Athman had eight kills and Nevaeh Carlson had five. Carlson also recorded BSU's only block.
Madison Tripp led the Beavers in assists with 18, more than double that of Katrina Thompson, who notched seven.
Kylie Struble had one ace along with Athman, who also led the team in digs with nine. Struble trailed with eight, while Anna Paquette had seven digs.
