Heavy rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday produced pockets of flooding in Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas in the afternoon. Parts of Barry County, MO and Boone County, AR picked up between 2" and 4" of rainfall. Flooding has largely receded, but a few common offending low-water crossings may still be underwater this morning.

The rain is largely gone, but the clouds remain. The weather will be gloomy for most of today, with some sunshine breaking through potentially late this afternoon, especially in Arkansas. This afternoon also comes with a risk of stray rain showers. Nothing heavy, but drifting showers may briefly force you to seek cover indoors.
