Well folks, we've got a dynamic weather picture unfolding across our region. As we move through Wednesday evening, intermittent showers are primarily staying south of I-80, but we could see some lake effect showers developing overnight and into Thursday morning, especially closer to the Lake Michigan shoreline.

A system pushing east will allow drier conditions to settle in as we head toward the end of the week. Get ready for a pleasant rebound as temperatures will start to climb back into the 80s by the weekend. Looking at our sky conditions, we'll see a mix of sun and clouds today, giving way to mostly sunny skies by Thursday.

The real warmth begins to build by Friday, with sunny conditions and highs reaching into the low to mid-80s and looking even a bit warmer for Saturday and Sunday.
