SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) -- Police in Shaker Heights asked the public on Wednesday morning to avoid Van Aken Boulevard due to "police activity."

The advisory was posted to the department's Facebook page at about 10 a.m. and said Van Aken Boulevard eastbound, between Ashby and Lee roads, was temporarily closed.

It wasn't immediately clear what kind of police activity was taking place.

On Tuesday, police in the city shut down Kemper Road as officers searched for a 45-year-old Lakewood man who was allegedly involved in a homicide case from over the weekend. By 1:15 p.m., police said a suspect was in custody and the area was reopened to the public.
