ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A former Atlanta Falcons player will spend 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in a gang-related human trafficking case in Gwinnett County, according to Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr.
Eric Duane Johnson, 49, of Decatur, is among nine gang members convicted in the case.
He and Bobby Jamaine Downing, 43, of Lithonia, were the last two defendants to be convicted, according to Carr’s office.
Prosecutors said they and the other defendants are members of the Last One To Take Over Gang (aka LOTTO or 30% Gang), a criminal street gang with ties to the national Crips and Gangster Disciples.
They’ve been convicted for their roles in trafficking five female victims – four women and one child – in Gwinnett County.
