New CCTV cameras are to be installed in two south side streets to crack down on anti-social behaviour.

A total of £30,000 is to be spent on cameras for Bridge Street and Carlton Place on the south side of the river near the city centre.

The streets were targeted along with the St Enoch areas as part of a operation last year to tackle drug dealing and anti - social behaviour resulting in 46 people being reported to the procurator fiscal.

The police are still carrying out ongoing work to combat the problems, this month's Southside Central Area Partnership meeting heard.
