JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — A bus flipped onto its side on Route 138 West in Jamestown Thursday afternoon after it blew a tire and the driver lost control, according to Rhode Island State Police.
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) confirmed to 12 News that the incident involved one of its buses.
Police said the driver and three passengers were taken to the hospital. One person refused medical treatment.
The incident is under investigation. No other cars were involved in the crash.
