CONCORD, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Firefighters battled a fire at a house in Concord early Thursday morning.
According to the Concord Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 1:42 a.m. to 50 American Avenue NE, north of downtown. Upon firefighters’ arrival, they reported smoke showing from the front door of a single-family home.
Concord FD says there was one person in the home, and they were treated on scene for small burns. The American Red Cross is assisting the family who was displaced by the fire.
It took 26 firefighters to control the fire within 9 minutes. Concord FD was assisted by the Concord Police Department and Cabarrus County EMS. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
