VENICE, Fla. ( WWSB ) – A Venice woman has been charged in Sarasota County after investigators say she posed as a real estate agent and took thousands of dollars from an out-of-state couple.
Court records show Andrea L. Moss, 59, is charged with grand theft from a person 65 or older and unlicensed real estate activity, both third-degree felonies.
Detectives say the case stems from a 2022 rental agreement on Siesta Key. A man reported paying Moss $6,200 to rent a condominium on Midnight Pass Road, but she no longer had the authority to lease the unit.
