GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - State Superintendent Mo Green visited South Central High School on Thursday, kicking off his strategic plan regional tour.
The strategic plan approved by the NC Board of Education aims to achieve educational excellence by 2030.
Green unveiled eight pillars of action that include preparing students for their futures, revering educators, safer learning environments, and enhancing parent and community involvement.
“Success of our schools is one of the untold stories, I would say across our state,” Superintendent Green said. “I mentioned tonight that we have the highest graduation rate in the history of North Carolina this past year and this lays the groundwork for other things.”
