Saturday is going to be a soggy day at times. Thursday’s cold front will stall across central Virginia tonight into Saturday, with an area of low pressure moving along that front nearby on Saturday. This means that scattered showers are a good bet, especially the farther south and east you are. In general, expect a quarter to a half inch of rain in what will be a soggy day at times under mostly cloudy skies with highs around 70. Locally heavier amounts of rain are possible.

Sunday provides the risk for a couple of isolated showers, mainly over the mountains as a result of the interaction with a tropical system over the Atlantic. The valley areas west of the mountains look to remain mostly dry with highs in the low to mid 70s.
