A man has been charged with attempted wounding after two people were mowed down by a car in Coventry . Callum Hyde was arrested after the incident in Daimler Green .

In the early hours of September 21, a car was driven at two women near the Daimler Green Community Centre on Highley Drive. Both were found to have sustained serious injuries.

Hyde, 37, was charged with affray, driving dangerously and two counts of attempted wounding. He appeared before Coventry Magistrates' Court last Tuesday (September 23).

Hyde is next due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on October 24. He has been remanded in custody until that hearing.
