SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – One day after the baseball season ended, the Minnesota Twins announced Rocco Baldelli won’t be the manager in 2026.

In a news release, the Twins President of Baseball and Business Operations Derek Falvey said after discussions with ownership it was determined it was the right moment to change in voice and direction.

“This decision is not a reflection of Rocco’s effort or leadership. It reflects where we are as an organization and the belief that a different voice is needed to help us move forward,” Falvey said in a news release.

The Twins finished the season 70-92. The Twins finished the 2024 season at 82-80 and missed the playoffs.
