WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Village of Watkins Glen is looking for public feedback as it considers closing down the Ice Skating Rink at Clute Park.

According to the village, the rink's expenses significantly exceed the revenue it brings in. Officials also cited unpredictable weather as a cause for concern for the future of the skate rink.

A survey is open now for village officials to collect public feedback. Respondents will be able to vote between one of two possible options, either, "continue the ice rink regardless off any resulting deficit" or "discontinue the ice rink and see other cost-effective alternatives to winter activities at Clute Park".
