NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Candidates for the upcoming Northampton municipal election participated in a forum hosted by the Northampton High School Student Union.

The forum, held at Northampton High School, featured current Mayor Gina Louise Sciarra, her challenger Jillian Duclos, as well as candidates vying for positions on the City Council and School Committee.

The event was organized by the Northampton High School Student Union, allowing students and community members to hear directly from those seeking office. Key topics of discussion included the school budget, addressing student needs, and policies regarding cell phone and artificial intelligence use in Northampton public schools.
