Oklahomans can now vote to name 24 of the state’s snowplows thanks to a new contest from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Students across the state submitted hundreds of names, and now the decision is up to the public.

ODOT says those hundreds of names were narrowed down to around nine names for each of its eight districts. Those names include pop culture references and puns, like Scoop Dog, Buzz Snowclear and Betty Whiteout. Oklahomans can vote for their three favorite names from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3, 2025, online at
