With an upper air cyclonic circulation likely to emerge into north Andaman Sea on Tuesday, under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over central parts of Bay of Bengal around October 1 (tomorrow), the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted.

It is likely to move west northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal around October 2 (Dussehra Day). It is also likely to continue to move westnorthwestwards and cross the south Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts around the morning hours of October 3 [Bhasani (Durga idol immersion) Day].
