NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) -- An 18-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly firing a gun during an attempted robbery on the third floor of a multifamily home in Naugatuck, police said.
Around 8 p.m. on Saturday, police said they responded to a multifamily home on Hill Street after callers told authorities they heard "potential" gunshots and cries for help coming from a third-floor apartment.
Police said they made several attempts to contact the tenants but forced entry after getting no responses. Inside the apartment, authorities said they saw signs of a struggle, which included displaced furniture, minor property damage, manufactured gun parts, and a "potential" bullet hole in the building, but no one was inside the home.
Authorities said they found the third-floor tenant unharmed.
