CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) was evacuated on Tuesday after a bomb threat.
According to Director of Communications Michael C. Butz at the CIA, law enforcement were on scene investigating but gave the all-clear around 1 p.m.
The college evacuated immediately after receiving the threat.
“The safety of our community is a top priority,” Butz told 19 News.
University Circle Police said there were road closures in the area while the bomb squad investigated the threat.
Tuesday classes and activities are canceled at the school but expected to resume on Wednesday.
