CINCINNATI (WXIX) - New requirements take effect for young adults to complete to get a Class-D driver’s license in Ohio, according to the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.

Ohioans aged 18 to 20 will now be required to complete 50 hours of practice driving, 10 of which must be at nighttime, with an accompanying licensed person who is 21 or older.

New drivers will also have to complete the same training course that is required by 16 and 17-year-olds, including 24 hours of classroom instruction online or at a driving school and 8 hours of driving with a licensed instructor.
