MARSHALL, Texas — A Marshall man was arrested Tuesday on child pornography and drug charges following a multi-agency investigation, according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation began June 23 after receiving a case from the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, which alleged the suspect was in possession of child pornography.

Sgt. Livingston of the Criminal Investigation Division reviewed a cyber tip that led to evidence of explicit images and videos of children uploaded to a social media platform, authorities said. Investigators obtained search warrants for customer data on Aug. 25, which linked the account to 49-year-old James Patrick Bailey, of Marshall.
