HOUSTON (CW39) – September is National Recovery Month, and Houston recording artist and philanthropist Terrance Bell is using his platform to shine a light on healing and hope.

Inspired by his mother’s 15-year recovery journey, Bell is partnering with the Star of Hope to support mothers overcoming substance use disorders. This month, he’s launching a new initiative that will sponsor five women in recovery for monthly empowerment retreats focused on self-care, sisterhood, and spiritual growth. One woman will be chosen each month through early next year.

“These retreats are about more than rest. They’re about confidence, healing, and lasting change,” Bell said.
