MANTUA, Ohio (WJW) - Tamra McDevitt of Mantua in Portage County has spent years helping others navigate their health journeys.

But last year, the 63-year-old registered nurse care coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic found herself on the other side of the patient chart.

"We've had ovarian cancer, some other breast cancers and things and so I was always acutely aware of that," she said.

Tamra said she has always been proactive, starting mammograms at the age of 40 due to a strong family history of cancer.

But as the years went by, the mother and grandmother of three grew frustrated.

"You get that letter after you get your mammogram that says it's all OK, which is good, but then they say in the letter that you get after the mammogram that it's, you have dense breasts and you might not be
