WESTCLIFFE, Colo. (KKTV) -A Colorado Springs man was arrested on Tuesday after speeding 100 miles per hour in a stolen vehicle, according to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

CCSO said deputies received a report of a red Dodge pickup truck stolen from a home on Della Fox Lane around 12:22 p.m.

They said that the same vehicle was involved in a traffic crash shortly after it was stolen.

Deputies said they responded from both Mackenzie Junction and Westcliff in hopes of finding the stolen truck.

According to CCSO, the vehicle was seen traveling on Rosita Road toward Highway 69 at around 100 miles per hour. Another deputy traveling south on Highway 69 confirmed the suspect’s speed, reporting that the vehicle was traveling 101 miles per hour towards Westcliffe.
