LUBBOCK, Texas — The Texas Tech landscape architecture program is thriving, and a recent student-led event is proving it to companies from across the country.
The event, called WRECKED, is a student-led career fair hosted by the Student American Society of Landscape Architects (SASLA). Student organizers spend their summer planning the event, which has grown exceptionally since its start in 2015.
"It's a student-led event of our organization called the Student American Society of Landscape Architects here at Texas Tech," said Andrew Castiaga, a student and SASLA member.
WRECKED is a professional development opportunity designed to prepare students for the real world. Firms from across the U.S. attend, seeking out future talent and offering students a chance to practice essential skills.
