WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — This year’s edition of the Eastern States Exposition, or The Big E, did not disappoint, especially when it comes to attendance.
Following the final day of the 17-day fair in West Springfield, Mass., event organizers announced the number of people who made their way through the gates. The total was sky high again.
Over the course of two-plus weeks, The Big E drew 1,538,463 visitors to the fairgrounds, according to an official release.
These visitors came from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Canada, Mexico, England and Ireland.
Participants and competitive exhibitors arrived in Massachusetts from 26 states and two Canadian provinces. It represents The Big E’s status as both the northeast’s biggest agricultural showcase and one of the largest fair
