A machete-wielding teenager has been locked up after an incident that saw a Leamington college put in lockdown.
Officers were called to Warwickshire College on Warwick New Road on Tuesday, September 23 after reports of someone with a knife threatening others.
A 17-year-old was later arrested at his home . He was charged with affray, possession of a blade or pointed article on school or further education premises, and threatening a person with a blade or pointed article on a school or further education premises.
The boy from Warwick, who cannot be named due to his age, went before magistrates the following day and was sentenced at Coventry Youth Court on Thursday, September 25.
