Balaclava-clad youths clocked 'flying down' a road in Bedworth have had their 'dangerous' bikes seized. Police said the riders believed they had got away with their antics.
Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) officers said they clocked 'strangely adapted' electric bikes flying down the middle of Leicester Road, weaving in and out of traffic at dangerous speeds yesterday, September 30. They then drove through Bailey Park as children played.
"Being slightly more agile on bikes they turned around while shouting very rude and painfully hurtful things at the officers before making good their escape," the team said. But, officers said they had the last laugh.
Earlier in the day the same officer had spoken to one of the males, who gave the wrong name, but he had forgotten to pull the balaclava down
